Isidro Ferrer graduated in Drama and Scenography. He combines his work as a graphic designer with intensive work in other visual fields such as illustration for adults and children, comics, TV cartoons and publishing. He has published more than 30 books. His work has been the subject of individual exhibitions in Huesca, Madrid, Gijón, Barcelona, Valencia, Palma, Toulouse, Lisbon, Rouen, Rijeka, Bogotá, Quito, Turin, Paris, Mexico, Santiago de Chile, Tegucigalpa, El Salvador, Marseille and Lima; and has also been exhibited at many collective exhibitions around the world.
Ferrer has received various prizes for his work as an illustrator and graphic designer, including: the Lazarillo Illustration Prize, third prize at the 12th International Poster and Graphic Design Festival of Chaumont (France), a Promax Gold award for TV animation (Canada), three AEPD (Spanish Association of Professional Designers) awards, a LAUS award, a Daniel Gil publishing award, a Junceda prize, an Experimenta prize, a Visión de oro de creatividad exterior award and the Poster European Design Award (Stockholm). He has also won the Spanish National Design Award (2002) and National Illustration Award and since 2000 he has been a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI).
